Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh plums, pitted and halved
- 200g granulated sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the plums, sugar, cinnamon stick, vanilla extract, and water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the plums are soft and the liquid has thickened.
- Remove the cinnamon stick and allow the compote to cool slightly before serving.
