Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, garlic, parsley, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the tomato sauce and beef broth. Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cover. Cook for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
