Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, garlic, parsley, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and beef broth. Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cover. Cook for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the meatballs and sauce hot, with rice or bread on the side.
