Ingredients
- 500g lamb or beef, cut into small pieces
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the diced meat to the pot and cook until browned on all sides.
- Season the meat with cumin, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Stir well to coat the meat with the spices.
- Add the diced potatoes to the pot and mix with the meat and spices.
- Cover the pot and let the kuurdak simmer on low heat for about 45-50 minutes, or until the meat and potatoes are tender.
- Once cooked, remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve the delicious kuurdak hot and enjoy!
