Delicious Kuurdak with Potatoes (Куурдак с картофелем)

Ingredients

  • 500g lamb or beef, cut into small pieces
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the diced meat to the pot and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Season the meat with cumin, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Stir well to coat the meat with the spices.
  5. Add the diced potatoes to the pot and mix with the meat and spices.
  6. Cover the pot and let the kuurdak simmer on low heat for about 45-50 minutes, or until the meat and potatoes are tender.
  7. Once cooked, remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  8. Serve the delicious kuurdak hot and enjoy!
