Ingredients
- 1/2 cup coriander seeds
- 1/4 cup cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground garlic
Instructions
- In a dry skillet, toast the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and black peppercorns over medium heat until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent burning.
- Transfer the toasted spices to a spice grinder or mortar and pestle and grind into a fine powder.
- Once ground, mix in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, ground ginger, and ground garlic.
- Store the Dhana Jiru in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
