Ingredients
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 teaspoon ginger-green chili paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon fruit salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2-3 curry leaves
- 2-3 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, yogurt, ginger-green chili paste, turmeric powder, sugar, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth batter.
- Add fruit salt to the batter and mix gently. The batter will become frothy.
- Grease the waffle maker with oil and pour a ladleful of the batter onto the waffle maker. Close the lid and cook until the waffle is golden and crispy.
- Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add sesame seeds and curry leaves. Pour this tempering over the prepared dhokla waffles.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
