Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, red pepper flakes, and beef broth. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in the same skillet. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the beef and broccoli stir fry hot over steamed rice or cauliflower rice.
