Dirt Pie
Dirt pie is a fun and delicious dessert that resembles a pot of dirt, complete with gummy worms. It's perfect for kids' parties or as a whimsical treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 package (16 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 1/4 cups cold milk
- 1 container (12 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
- Gummy worms for garnish
Instructions
- Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor or place them in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
- In a bowl, mix the crushed cookies with the melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish to form the "dirt" crust.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread this mixture over the "dirt" crust.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken, then spread it over the cream cheese layer.
- Spread the thawed whipped topping over the pudding layer to resemble "dirt."
- Refrigerate the dirt pie for at least 1 hour before serving. Garnish with gummy worms just before serving.
