Dirt Pie

Dirt pie is a fun and delicious dessert that resembles a pot of dirt, complete with gummy worms. It's perfect for kids' parties or as a whimsical treat for any occasion.

Dirt Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 1/4 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (12 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • Gummy worms for garnish

Instructions

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor or place them in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  2. In a bowl, mix the crushed cookies with the melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish to form the "dirt" crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread this mixture over the "dirt" crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken, then spread it over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Spread the thawed whipped topping over the pudding layer to resemble "dirt."
  6. Refrigerate the dirt pie for at least 1 hour before serving. Garnish with gummy worms just before serving.
