Discada
Discada is a traditional Mexican dish that originated in the northern state of Chihuahua. It is a flavorful and hearty mixed meat and vegetable dish that is perfect for gatherings and celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 1 lb pork, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 bell peppers, sliced
- 4 tomatoes, diced
- 2 jalapeños, sliced
- 1/4 cup beer
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large, flat-bottomed pan or discada over medium-high heat.
- Add the bacon and cook until crispy.
- Add the beef and pork, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the onion, bell peppers, tomatoes, and jalapeños. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Pour in the beer and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with cilantro before serving.
