Ingredients
- 1 lb dogfish fillets
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 large potatoes, diced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 cups fish or vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until they are soft and translucent.
- Add the potatoes, bay leaf, and cilantro to the pot. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the fish or vegetable broth and bring the soup to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the dogfish fillets to the pot and simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
- Remove the bay leaf and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve the soup hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
