Dolma (stuffed Bell Peppers With Rice And Meat)

Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/2 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the rice, ground meat, onion, tomatoes, tomato paste, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Stuff the bell peppers with the rice and meat mixture and place them in a deep pot.
  5. Pour the chicken or vegetable broth over the stuffed peppers.
  6. Cover the pot and cook over medium heat for 1 hour, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is cooked through.
  7. Remove the stuffed peppers from the pot and serve hot.
