Ingredients

  • 1 jar of grape leaves
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup of fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of pine nuts
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the grape leaves under cold water and drain well.
  2. In a bowl, mix the rice, onion, dill, pine nuts, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place a grape leaf on a flat surface, shiny side down, and add a spoonful of the rice mixture in the center.
  4. Fold the sides of the leaf over the filling and roll it up tightly.
  5. Place the dolmades in a pot, seam side down, and add water to cover them.
  6. Cover the pot and simmer for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let them cool before serving.
