Dolmeh (stuffed Bell Peppers)

Ingredients
- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked rice, ground beef or lamb, onion, parsley, mint, walnuts, raisins, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the bell peppers with the rice and meat mixture.
- Place the stuffed bell peppers in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
- Pour the tomato sauce over the stuffed peppers.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is cooked through.
- Serve the dolmeh hot and enjoy!
