Ingredients

Instructions

- Add the yeast mixture, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter or two different-sized round cookie cutters.
- Heat the oil in a deep pot to 375°F (190°C) and fry the donuts in batches until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Remove the donuts from the oil and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- If desired, glaze, sprinkle with powdered sugar, or fill the donuts with your favorite filling.
