Ingredients
- 1 lb pork belly, thinly sliced
- 4 oz vermicelli noodles
- 2 pieces dried shiitake mushrooms, soaked and sliced
- 1 block firm tofu, cubed
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 3 slices ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 4 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions, and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the pork belly slices and cook until browned.
- Pour in the Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Stir to combine.
- Add the chicken broth, shiitake mushrooms, and tofu. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the vermicelli noodles and continue to simmer for another 10-15 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and garnish with additional chopped green onions, if desired.
