Double Mustard Delight (Shorshe Shorshe) is a traditional dish from Sylheti Cuisine that features a delightful combination of mustard flavors. This creamy and tangy dish is a perfect addition to any meal.
Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 4 tbsp mustard paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the fish fillets with turmeric powder and salt.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and fry the fish until golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
- In the same pan, add mustard paste, red chili powder, and a little water. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Whisk the yogurt and add it to the pan. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the fried fish to the mustard sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Double Mustard Delight (Shorshe Shorshe) is ready to be served.
