Dried Pork With Bamboo Shoot

Ingredients

  • 500g dried pork, cut into small pieces
  • 2 cups bamboo shoot, sliced
  • 3-4 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried pork in water for 30 minutes to rehydrate.
  2. Heat mustard oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger and garlic paste, green chilies, and turmeric powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the rehydrated dried pork and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the sliced bamboo shoot and salt. Cook for another 30 minutes or until the pork is tender.
  6. Adjust the seasoning and serve hot.
