Dried Yam Stir-fry With King Chilli

Ingredients

  • 200g dried yam slices
  • 4-5 king chillies, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried yam slices in water for 15 minutes to rehydrate them.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the sliced onion until golden brown.
  3. Add the rehydrated yam slices and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced king chillies, salt, turmeric powder, and black pepper. Stir-fry for another 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the water and cook until the yam is tender and the water has evaporated.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
