Ingredients

  • 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rectangles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu slices between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, sesame seeds, and green onions to make the sauce.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu slices and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Pour the sauce over the tofu and add water. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu.
  5. Serve the Dubu Jorim hot or at room temperature.
