Ingredients
- 1 whole duck, cut into serving pieces
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 head garlic, minced
- 3-4 pieces bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon whole peppercorns
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, marinate the duck pieces in soy sauce and vinegar for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic until golden brown.
- Add the marinated duck pieces and cook until lightly browned.
- Pour in the marinade, add bay leaves, whole peppercorns, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours or until the duck is tender.
- Season with salt to taste. Serve hot with steamed rice.
