Ingredients
- 500g beef, cut into cubes
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the beef cubes to the pot and brown on all sides.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir to coat the beef evenly.
- Add the potatoes and beef broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the beef is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
- Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve the stew hot with steamed rice.
