Dutch Meatball Subs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Split the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Spread marinara sauce on the rolls, then place the cooked meatballs on top.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the meatballs and bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot.
