Dzowoe Delight
Dzowoe Delight is a traditional Ghanaian dish that is both flavorful and satisfying. This recipe combines a variety of spices and fresh ingredients to create a delicious and aromatic meal.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 tomatoes, diced
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions, minced ginger, and garlic. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pot and brown on all sides.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, sliced bell peppers, tomato paste, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth, cover the pot, and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve the Dzowoe Delight hot with steamed rice or boiled yams.
