Ingredients

  • 500g mixed mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 500g puff pastry

Instructions

  1. In a pan, sauté the onions in butter until translucent.
  2. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their liquid and it evaporates.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and line a pie dish with it.
  5. Spread the mushroom mixture over the pastry.
  6. Pour the egg and cream mixture over the mushrooms.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40 minutes or until the filling is set and the pastry is golden brown.
