Eesti Suitsuangerjas Salat (estonian Smoked Eel Salad)
Eesti suitsuangerjas salat, or Estonian Smoked Eel Salad, is a traditional dish from Baltic cuisines that combines the rich, smoky flavor of eel with fresh and vibrant ingredients.
Ingredients
- 200g smoked eel, flaked
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and diced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 apple, diced
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
- 4 tbsp sour cream
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the smoked eel, boiled potatoes, red onion, apple, and hard-boiled eggs.
- In a small bowl, mix the sour cream, fresh dill, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sour cream mixture over the eel and potato mixture, and gently toss to coat.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
