Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced

- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 sheets of store-bought puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, garlic, and red bell pepper over medium heat until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut out circles using a round cutter or a small plate.
- Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center of each pastry circle. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a half-moon shape and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush the empanadas with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the empanadas are golden brown and crispy.
- Let the empanadas cool for a few minutes before serving.
