帝王美味春卷 (Emperor's Delightful Egg Rolls) are a classic dish from Chinese Imperial Cuisine, known for their delicate flavors and exquisite presentation.
Ingredients
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup julienned carrots
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
- In another bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water. Set aside.
- In a wok or large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, and green onions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the soy sauce mixture over the vegetables and stir well. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- Place a spoonful of the filling onto each egg roll wrapper. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry the egg rolls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
