English Cornish Pasty

Ingredients
- 500g shortcrust pastry
- 250g beef, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 carrot, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pastry and cut into 4 circles.
- In a bowl, mix together the beef, onion, potatoes, carrot, salt, and pepper.
- Divide the filling between the pastry circles, placing it on one half of each circle.
- Moisten the edges of the pastry with water, then fold the other half over the filling to form a semi-circle. Press the edges together to seal.
- Place the pasties on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour or until golden brown.
