Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, carrots, and peas to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the tomato paste and beef broth. Simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Meanwhile, boil the potatoes in a separate pot until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown.
