Ingredients
- 1 lb filet mignon
- 1 cup black truffles
- 1/2 cup foie gras
- 1 bottle of red wine
- 1/4 cup shallots
- 1/4 cup butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper.
- Sear the filet mignon in a hot skillet for 2 minutes on each side.
- Wrap the filet mignon with black truffles and foie gras.
- Place the filet mignon in a baking dish and pour the red wine over it.
- Sprinkle shallots on top and dot with butter.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Slice the filet mignon and serve with the wine reduction sauce.
