Ingredients

  • 1 lb filet mignon
  • 1 cup black truffles
  • 1/2 cup foie gras
  • 1 bottle of red wine

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the filet mignon in a hot skillet for 2 minutes on each side.
  4. Wrap the filet mignon with black truffles and foie gras.
  5. Place the filet mignon in a baking dish and pour the red wine over it.
  6. Sprinkle shallots on top and dot with butter.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  9. Slice the filet mignon and serve with the wine reduction sauce.
