Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds and curry leaves.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  5. Now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook the masala for a few minutes.
  6. Add the cleaned prawns and mix well with the masala. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the prawns are cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
