Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 onions, finely sliced
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 cup fried onions
- 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup ghee
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the lamb pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
- Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and add the finely sliced onions. Cook until they turn golden brown.
- Add the marinated lamb to the pan and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Add fried onions, mint leaves, and coriander leaves. Mix well.
- Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and cook on very low heat for 1.5 hours, allowing the lamb to cook in its own juices.
- Once done, garnish with additional fried onions and serve hot.
