Falooda (saffron And Rosewater Milkshake)
Falooda is a popular Iranian milkshake made with saffron and rosewater, offering a refreshing and aromatic treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon saffron threads
- 1 teaspoon rosewater
- 1/4 cup basil seeds
- 1/2 cup cooked vermicelli noodles
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- In a small bowl, soak the basil seeds in water for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the saffron threads to the milk and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the milk from heat and stir in the rosewater. Let it cool.
- Divide the soaked basil seeds, vermicelli noodles, and chopped pistachios between two glasses.
- Pour the saffron and rosewater milk over the ingredients in the glasses.
- Top each glass with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Serve the falooda immediately with a long spoon and a straw.
