Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron threads
  • 1 teaspoon rosewater
  • 1/4 cup basil seeds
  • 1/2 cup cooked vermicelli noodles
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/4 cup vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, soak the basil seeds in water for 10 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the saffron threads to the milk and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove the milk from heat and stir in the rosewater. Let it cool.
  5. Divide the soaked basil seeds, vermicelli noodles, and chopped pistachios between two glasses.
  6. Pour the saffron and rosewater milk over the ingredients in the glasses.
  7. Top each glass with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  8. Serve the falooda immediately with a long spoon and a straw.
