Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted prunes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch tart pan with butter.
  2. Arrange the prunes in the bottom of the tart pan.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the eggs and whisk until smooth.
  4. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Pour the custard mixture over the prunes in the tart pan.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
