Ingredients

  • 500g pork belly, minced
  • 200g rice flour
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the minced pork with soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, white pepper, green onions, and ginger. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the rice flour, cornstarch, and water to form a smooth batter.
  3. Add the rice flour batter to the marinated pork and mix well to combine.
  4. Transfer the pork mixture to a heatproof dish and smooth the surface.
  5. Steam the pork over high heat for 1 hour, or until the pork is cooked through.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the Fen Zheng Rou hot with steamed rice or vegetables.
