Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, place the ribs and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Drain the ribs and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and Chinese five-spice powder.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ribs and cook until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Pour the honey mixture over the ribs and add water to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, turning the ribs occasionally and basting with the glaze.
