Fermented Rice With Duck Embryo (buro With Balut)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fermented rice (buro)
  • 4 duck embryos (balut)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Saute the garlic, onion, and tomato until fragrant.
  3. Add the fermented rice (buro) and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
  5. Add the duck embryos (balut) and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
