Ingredients
- 4 fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2-3 red chilies, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Salt to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sliced red chilies. Stir-fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the soy sauce mixture to the wok. Bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into the wok, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- Season the fish fillets with salt and carefully place them into the wok. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through.
- Transfer the fish and sauce to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions.
