Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-3 red chilies, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sliced red chilies. Stir-fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into the wok, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.

  6. Transfer the fish and sauce to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions.
