Fiery Chili Garlic Tofu (辣椒蒜香豆腐)

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cut into cubes
  • 3-4 red chili peppers, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the sliced chili peppers and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  4. Return the fried tofu to the pan.
  5. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Stir well to coat the tofu.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
