Fiesta De Patacones (patacón Fiesta)
Fiesta de Patacones, also known as Patacón Fiesta, is a popular dish in Venezuelan cuisine. It features crispy fried plantain slices topped with a variety of delicious toppings, making it a perfect appetizer or party dish.
Ingredients
- 2 green plantains, peeled and sliced
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup shredded chicken
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the plantain slices until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels. Flatten the fried plantain slices with a plantain press or the bottom of a heavy glass.
- Return the flattened plantains to the hot oil and fry until crispy, about 2 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.
- Top the crispy plantains with shredded chicken, guacamole, diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, queso fresco, sour cream, and hot sauce.
