Finnish Salmon Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices for serving

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the salmon until finely chopped.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, dill, red onion, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the salmon burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the skillet until lightly golden.
