Finnish Salmon Curry
Finnish Salmon Curry is a delicious and comforting dish that brings together the flavors of Finland with the richness of salmon and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon fillet, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the curry powder, turmeric, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir well to combine with the onions and garlic.
- Add the salmon cubes to the pan and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the coconut milk and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the Finnish Salmon Curry over cooked rice and enjoy!
