Fisherman's Soup (Рыбный суп)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg fish fillets, such as carp or pike
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 cups fish or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté the onions, carrots, and bell pepper until softened.
  2. Add the potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, bay leaf, paprika, black pepper, and dill. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the fish fillets and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
  5. Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
