Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup ghee or butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.
- Add the warm water gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
- Roll out each ball into a thin circle, then spread a thin layer of ghee or butter on top.
- Fold the circle in half, then fold in half again to form a triangle.
- Roll out the triangle into a larger, thinner triangle.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown spots appear.
- Remove from the skillet and keep warm until ready to serve.
