Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar

- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Gradually add the warm water and mix until smooth. Cover the bowl and let the batter rest for 1 hour.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the sauce is simmering, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the skillet and spread it into a thin, round flatbread. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining batter to make additional flatbreads.
- Serve the flatbreads with the tomato sauce on top.
