Ingredients
- 2 cups flattened rice (poha)
- 1 large potato, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the flattened rice in a colander and set aside to drain.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
- Add the diced potatoes and green peas. Cook until the potatoes are tender.
- Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
- Now, add the drained flattened rice and mix gently to combine all the ingredients. Cook for a few minutes until the flattened rice is heated through.
- Garnish with roasted peanuts and fresh coriander leaves before serving.
