Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup fried onions
- 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup cashew nut paste
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ghee
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, fried onions, mint leaves, coriander leaves, cashew nut paste, and salt.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it marinate for 2 hours.
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat ghee and add the marinated chicken.
- Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and let the chicken cook on low heat for 45 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix milk and saffron. Pour this mixture over the cooked chicken.
- Cover and cook for another 15 minutes until the chicken is tender and the flavors are well infused.
- Serve hot with naan or steamed rice.
