Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the red bell pepper and snow peas to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Return the tofu to the skillet and pour the soy sauce mixture over the ingredients. Stir to coat everything evenly.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
