Forbidden Treasure Dumplings (禁宫宝藏饺子)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup finely chopped shrimp
  • 1/2 cup minced water chestnuts
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 20 round dumpling wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, water chestnuts, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and white pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the dumplings in half, pressing the edges to seal.
  3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the dumplings and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
  4. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve hot with dipping sauce.
