Formentera Fish Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets, such as cod or halibut
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mixture onto the fish fillets.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the fish fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or directly over a gas flame until they are soft and pliable.
  4. Divide the cooked fish among the tortillas. Top with shredded cabbage, sliced avocado, and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
