Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and white wine, and season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer the sauce for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
- Adjust seasoning to taste and serve over pasta or seafood.
